Guests reach Villa Adriana on a short unpaved road, very easy by Chianti standards. Built as a convent during the 13th century, Adriana has been restored by its owners with a keen attention to detail and divided into three independent apartments. Oak beams, terracotta tiles and antique furnishings preserve a sense of antiquity. Interior spaces are warmly welcoming, and lace-curtained windows overlook the beautiful Chianti countryside. An extensive garden surrounds the villa, and each apartment has its own area for lounging or dining al fresco.

The large pool (15 x 7 meters) is a short walk downhill and overlooks olove groves and vineyards, with changing rooms, showers, lounge chairs and umbrellas for your convenience and comfort. A BBQ and pizza oven are available for guests' use. A laundry facility is available for shared use and each apartment is furnished with satellite TV.

LE SUORE (sleeps 9+1, ground and 2nd floors) is the largest of Adriana's apartments, sleeping 9 with the possibility of an extra single bed. Enter from the villa's internal courtyard into a spacious dining room, graced by cathedral ceilings typical of a 13th century convent. The dining room is furnished with an antique table and has a large open fireplace. Double doors open onto the garden, and another door leads to the fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and breakfast table. The other end of the dining room leads to a hallway with stairs to the second level, where the bedrooms and formal living room are located. Le Suore has 5 bedrooms: 4 doubles and a small single (where a second single bed can be added on request). One of the double rooms has an en suite bathroom with a standing shower and one has its own entrance from the interior courtyard. (The double bedrooms are furnished with twin beds that can be made up separately or together.) There are two additional bathrooms: one with a standing shower and the other with a tub, separate standing shower and twin sinks. The formal living room is furnished with brocaded antique furniture, a grand open fireplace and patio doors leading to the interior courtyard steps.

I FRATI (sleeps 2, 2nd floor) is entered from the interior courtyard into a cozy living room with a dining area and fireplace. Through a low archway is the kitchen, furnished with a breakfast table. The bedroom is an elegant double and the bathroom has a shower.

IL VESCOVO (sleeps 6, 2nd and 3rd floors). Enter into the airy second floor living area, comfortably furnished with sofas and encompassing a pleasant dining area and an open fireplace. Next door is the spacious and beautiful kitchen (just like that in the larger apartment, Le Suore), provided with stove, oven, refrigerator/freezer and dishwasher, and furnished with a breakfast table. Also on the second floor are two double bedrooms, one with an en suite bathroom with standing shower, and another bathroom with tub, separate standing shower and twin sink basins. A flight of stairs leads to a wondrous tower bedroom offering splendid views from its windows on every side. The beds in Il Vescovo can be made up as twins or "matrimoniale."
