Located high in the hills above Eze in a private luxury residential area, Bel Horizon is a traditional Provençal villa on two acres of woods, surrounded by a pristine nature reserve. The property offers privacy, tranquility, and panoramic views -- from Cap d'Antibes to the west all the way to Italy in the east. You will find a grocery store, patisserie, and café just four kilometers from the villa. Within 30 minutes drive are museums, beaches, international shopping, and excellent hiking and fishing. Florence and Milan can be reached in about three hours. Ski resorts are less than an hour away.

This lovely residence has an open, airy feeling. Large windows allow for bright sunshine and magnificent views. Furnishings are elegant without being the least bit stuffy or pretentious. The entrance is reached via a flight of stairs from the garden and opens into a foyer. To the left is an open-plan living and dining area, with a fireplace for cool weather and a beautiful grand piano. French doors open onto a spacious patio overlooking the sea that is a lovely spot to dine al fresco or just to relax and enjoy the view. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a dishwasher and microwave. There is also one bedroom on this level, as well as a bathroom that can be accessed from the bedroom, the kitchen, or the dining area.

Upstairs are three additional bedrooms. Two have en suite bathrooms, and an additional bathroom is located just across the hall from the third bedroom. The master bedroom has a high Irish bed, from which you can watch the sun rise over the sea! All three bedrooms open onto terraces with sea views.

An internal staircase connects the main house with the studio and suite below, on the garden level. The studio apartment has a kitchen, two twin beds (joinable on request), one bathroom, and an open kitchen and eating area. The suite has one bedroom and one bathroom, plus a queen-sized sleep sofa that can accommodate two additional guests. There is also a laundry room with a washer and dryer, as well as a children's playroom on this level. The studio and suite can be joined together as one larger apartment but neither will be rented separately when only the main house is occupied.

Outdoors is a beautiful pool, BBQ, and garden. Amenities at Bel Horizon include satellite TV and stereo, fax machine, and Internet access. We think this is a wonderful accommodation for families, or for devotees of Monaco's Grand Prix and the Cannes Film Festival. The location is convenient, yet far enough above the fray to be relaxing and private.
