Switzerland - Hiking in the Bernese Oberland & Zermatt
The
Bernese Oberland and the
Zermatt regions are two of the most spectacular areas in the Alps,
offering an array of scenery that never ceases to amaze all who visit
their
heights. Mountain ranges with several glaciated peaks, surpassing 4,000 meters
in
height, frame lush valleys filled with alpine flowers and emerald blue
lakes.
An incredible network of trails allows the visitor to explore these
regions
with hikes and walks for all tastes.
Our tour starts in Grindelwald, perfectly situated at the base of the
famous
North Face of the Eiger. Our hikes will take us to vantage points where
the
views of peaks such as the Eiger, Monch, Jungfrau,
Wetterhorn and Finsteraarhorn
are unparalleled.
Continuing on to Kandersteg, we encounter even more dramatic mountain
scenery,
where the glaciers swooping down from the summits seem to reach our
fingertips.
Our easy-to-moderate hikes allow us to sit in reverie before this
magnificent
landscape.
We end the trip in Zermatt, jealously guarded by the most impressive
sentinel:
the Matterhorn. We
will take hikes to places
such as the Gornergratt and Schwarzsee, where the views of the Matterhorn and the Monte Rosa
massif, with its crown of
4,000-meter peaks, are simply breathtaking.
