Make sure you allow time to explore Vienna on your own, before The Wayfarers rendezvous in Mistelbach.Overnight: Mistelbach
Sunday
From Schrattenberg, we walk across the border into the Czech Republic and the heart of Moravia’s wine region. In Valtice, a small town adorned with jewels of Baroque architecture, we enjoy a wine-tasting. Our hotel is situated in the former Jewish ghetto. Overnight: Mikulov
Monday
After a gentle stroll in parkland near Lednice, footpaths lead onward through pine forests and beside lakes, over Holy Hilland back to Mikulov. Overnight: Mikulov
Tuesday
We hike in the nearby Pavlovske Hills, a splendid nature reserve with medieval ruins, rare flowers and lovely views. Overnight: Near Telc
Wednesday
We spend time in Telc, admiring its unique square and browsing the shops before a tour of the chвteau. Later, our walk takes us to a picnic lunch in the village of Lhotka. Overnight: Near Telc
Thursday
By train and on foot, we meander to Slavonice and see houses with centuries-old 'graffiti plaster' -designs cut through plaster into deeper darker layers. We continue on to Jindrichuv Hradec (Henry’s Castle) where we stay in a hotel in the central square. Overnight: Jindrichuv Hradec
Friday
We walk through forests and past lakes and brooks to the little town of Trebon, journeying on to Cesky Krumlov, one of Europe’s most beautiful and best-preserved towns. Overnight: Cesky Krumlov
Saturday
From ‘Zlata Koruna’ (Golden Crown), a medieval monastery, we follow the banks of the Vltava River (recalling Smetana’s evocative musical description in his tone poem Ma Vlast) to the ruins of Divci Kamen, a 14th-century castle. Overnight: Cesky Krumlov
Sunday
We arrive in the center of Prague and walk the 'Coronation Route' across the magnificent Charles Bridge and up to the imposing Prague Castle, the largest ancient castle in the world. We tour the castle and walk back down to our hotel in the Old Town for our Farewell Dinner. Overnight: Prague
Monday
