Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrive Oahu
Tauck's Hawaii family vacation begins at the Honolulu Airport. A transfer from the airport is included to The Royal Hawaiian; when you arrive, drop your bags, kick off your shoes, and dabble your toes in the warm waters of Waikiki Beach. Make Hawaiian leis and learn to dance the hula at our welcome reception tonight.

Day 2 – Visit Pearl Harbor and Learn to Surf
Take a sightseeing tour of Honolulu today. See the USS Arizona Memorial that honors the brave men who lost their lives at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 – a special opportunity on this Hawaii family vacation to learn together about one of the most important chapters in American history. Grab a surfboard and hit the waves at Waikiki this afternoon with a surfing lesson; the Hawaiian name for this ancient sport – he'e nalu – means "wave sliding." Dinner tonight is in The Surf Room at The Royal Hawaiian, set alongside the white sand that made Waikiki famous.

Day 3 – Maui, the Valley Island
Fly to lovely Maui for a three-night stay; the island is known for having some of the islands' best beaches, making it the perfect choice for a Hawaii family vacation. Visit the Maui Ocean Center, a state-of-the-art marine park dedicated to understanding and respecting Hawaii's marine life. Ocean naturalists introduce you to everything aquatic. An awesome beach awaits you at the Maui Prince Hotel.

Day 4 – Your Hawaii family vacation, as you like it

Day 5 – Travel to the Top of Mt. Haleakala

Day 6 – Learn about Volcanoes on the Big Island of Hawaii
Fly to the Big Island, home to the largest and most active volcano in the world, and see some of the Pacific’s most bizarre volcanic scenery at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Lava tubes, craters, steam fissures and a landscape that looks more like the moon than a tropical Hawaiian island is just the start! Arrive at your oceanfront resort for a two-night stay.

Day 7 – Enjoy an Aquatic Wonderland

End your day at a traditional Hawaiian luau where the food and entertainment are pure magic. This special evening will be a memorable part of your Hawaii family vacation.

Day 8 – Journey Home
