New Itinerary!

If you love water sports, this is the trip for you! Start off with sea kayaking in the shadow of Arenal Volcano, followed by a twilight safari, watching for Costa Rica’s mammals to awaken (over 60% of Costa Rica’s mammals are nocturnal). Then it’s off to the Caribbean to paddle sea kayaks on the tranquil jungle waterways and hidden lagoons of Tortuguero National Park—a unique, exciting way to discover the rainforest’s wonders that no other U.S. company offers. Yet more paddling adventures lie ahead! Raft Costa Rica’s top river, the beautiful Río Pacuare, which pounds its way from one whitewater rapid to another, serving up one of the world’s best roller coaster rides (a bonus: shimmering waterfalls that drench you as you pass!). Pura Vida!, the ubiquitous Costa Rican catchall phrase that—literally translated—means “pure life,” but in the vernacular, means “what could be better than this?”

Special departures are available for families with children age 8 and up. Email us or call 1-888-MTSOBEK (687-6235) or 1-510-594-6000 for details.
